Job Description
- Regularly update information on maritime regulations and safety to update, revise and notify relevant vessels (15%)
- Provide input and support the responsible officer (Designated Person) in drafting, updating procedures and forms in the safety, security and maritime labor management handbook in accordance with international law (5%)
- Update international maritime regulations, standards and conventions and disseminate to crew members on board (5%)
- Review non-conformities in the implementation of safety and labor, security management handbook. Monitor and maintain the validity of certificates (10%)
- Board vessels to inspect actual compliance with regulations, review vessel inspection reports from the safety department (15%)
- Review reports from the deck department, maintain records (15%)
- Support work with classification societies on safety (5%)
- Participate in incident response team, accident investigation team, guide compensation claim documentation to relevant parties (5%)
- Responsible for 5S activities of the company's fleet (5%)
- Weekly print and distribute maritime documents, publications and nautical charts to the company's fleet (5%)
- Support and propose process improvements for high efficiency. Member of internal audit team (5%)
- Monitor and maintain the validity of vessel certificates (5%)
- Inspect and guide deck crew members before boarding vessels. Guide training on professional deficiencies of deck crew members (5%)
Job Requirements
Education
- Graduate in maritime specialization (Preference for Ship Navigation Department)
Experience
- 3 – 6 years of experience, with 1 year of experience as Captain/Chief Officer
- Understanding of the maritime field is a plus
Professional Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the company's safety and security management systems, etc.
- Update regulations and standards of the flag state administration
Soft Skills
- Skills in handling accidents and incidents under high pressure.
