I. Job Description:
Advise and propose to the Head of Department on optimizing data usage in the bank; identify new innovative initiatives to increase value and business efficiency, while evaluating data to identify new customer behavior patterns or business activities
1. Support the Head of Department in general leadership work:
a) Develop, organize and supervise the implementation of plans and work programs in the assigned field of activity/work.
b) Manage, assign and evaluate work efficiency of staff within the scope of responsibility.
2. Direct, organize and supervise the implementation of tasks assigned by the Head of Department:
a) Organize design and management of new techniques in building models from data:
- Coordinate with Departments/units under the Data Block to build advanced machine learning/artificial intelligence/deep learning models to support corresponding business initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Data Analysis and Data Products Department (Data Management and Application Center) to clearly understand data usage needs (use cases) in order to create necessary models and coordinate with the Data Technology Department to collect and use necessary data in the data warehouse supply chain.
- Based on requirements from business units, supervise the construction of necessary analytical models related to business.
- Supervise the construction of model management infrastructure and allow reuse across multiple requirements, measure reuse to understand the level of efficiency in model design.
b) Organize proposals and implement data usage initiatives not within the scope of other units:
- Research and seek new models that have the potential to change business operations and create new opportunities for VCB.
- Direct coordination with business units, Data Analysis and Data Products Department (Data Management and Application Center) to identify effective implementation methods.
c) Organize research on techniques and services for building models serving business:
- Understand advanced techniques in data analysis and identify value to the organization to propose to the Head of Department, Center Management Board and implement after approval.
3. Direct, organize and supervise the implementation of tasks assigned by the Head of Department:
d) Organize promotion of advanced machine learning/artificial intelligence/deep learning initiatives serving business:
- Promote the development of advanced machine learning/artificial intelligence/deep learning models to enhance efficiency in organizing and applying models in the bank.
- Be responsible for evaluating model performance to determine whether the model meets intended objectives and make adjustments to increase model efficiency.
- Direct provision of monthly reports to measure the benefits of model deployment for each individual application and overall benefits to the bank.
e) Coordinate with the Data Technology Department to research new capabilities (improved capabilities in analysis, modeling, data presentation).
- Coordinate with the Data Technology Department to understand the model development and deployment lifecycle, and identify new approaches to shorten time to market.
- Evaluate and work with the unit responsible for model validation/model risk management to build coordination processes to validate models throughout the model lifecycle.
4. Participate in training and professional development classes according to the department, Center and VCB plans.
5. Perform other tasks assigned by the Block Management Board, Center Management Board, and Head of Department.
II. Recruitment Standards:
1. Qualifications:
- Professional qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, mathematical economics, mathematical informatics, applied mathematics or other related fields.
- Foreign language proficiency: English at B1 level (Common European Framework of Reference) or equivalent and above, good English usage, communication and reading comprehension related to assigned work.
2. Experience:
- Minimum 05 years of experience working in data management, data science, data analysis or related fields.
- Experience working with cloud services and data technology tools.
- Minimum 02 years of experience in a management role.
3. Knowledge:
- Understanding of organizational structure, operational processes, products and business activities of financial organizations and banks.
- Understanding of data science and data analysis.
4. Priority criteria:
- Master's degree or higher in data science, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, mathematical economics, mathematical informatics, applied mathematics or other related fields.
- Have national or international awards in Mathematics, Informatics, etc.
- Have management experience in data management, data science, data analysis in reputable technology, finance, and banking organizations in Vietnam or abroad.
