Job Description
- Design and develop RESTful APIs for various types of clients: Web, app, SDKs / OpenAPI for partners
- Design and build secure, stable and scalable backend systems. Perform performance benchmarking and security analysis for software.
- Proactively research, explore, and analyze system strengths / weaknesses, actively identify, propose and implement solutions to improve product quality, code base quality and QA quality / processes.
- Code quality: proactively and responsibly improve code quality through automated testing / refactoring tech debts / code reviews. Apply best practice techniques such as DRY, KISS, etc. in practice to have a beautiful, easy-to-maintain and easy-to-approach code base for newcomers. Participate in code reviews of other team members / projects to understand all company systems as well as raise code quality standards for the entire team.
- Proactively research new technologies, be ready to share information and knowledge with other members to develop together, and introduce new technologies into applications in company projects.
- Contribute ideas, improve and enhance the effectiveness of software development processes according to Agile and Scrum.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years or more of experience in Backend Developer role using Golang.
- Experience in system design, async processing, realtime and production systems deployment.
- Good IT foundation, solid programming knowledge, self-reliant and curious learning spirit, continuous improvement
- Can use git proficiently, especially creating branches, push / pull / commit, merge requests and resolve conflicts.
- Understanding of Restful API. Experience building Restful APIs that handle large loads is an advantage.
- Experience optimizing software performance using multithread or concurrent models.
- Ability to use SQL databases (Postgres / MySQL) to optimize performance. Experience with NoSQL databases or Message Queues is an advantage.
- Proactively solve problems. Self-detect, evaluate new issues, can solve them without waiting for instructions.
- Persistent, meticulous, responsible.
- Self-reliant and curious learning spirit, continuous improvement
- Bonus points:
- Have over 1 year of experience building and optimizing products that handle large traffic volumes (1 million visits/day or more).
- Have experience working with Docker and Kubernetes. Have experience working in Agile environment. Have experience building systems according to microservices architecture.
