Job description
1. Implement planning and overall management of design progress to ensure all design documents (architecture, structure, mechanical-electrical, technical infrastructure, landscape, interior) are completed on schedule according to the overall Master Timeline (MTL).
- Consolidate plans and coordinate the entire design process according to the approved Master Timeline;
- Consolidate monitoring content, report and propose solutions to update design implementation progress periodically;
- Control risks of design delays and report;
- Propose solutions to alert risks of design delays and timely handling measures;
- Control and confirm completion of design documents according to the approved Master Timeline. Ensure all issued documents are delivered on time.
2. Manage design of all disciplines to ensure all design documents meet quality, comply with standards, regulations, internal policies and within the approved budget.
- Direct and control the provision of information to specialized departments for design budget preparation (when requested);
- Coordinate with specialized departments to assess capacity and select design consultants appropriate to design requirements, budget and feasibility for each project;
- Control provision of design documents for legal, sales, bidding, construction, procurement work… according to procedures;
- Be responsible for ensuring all design documents issued from the DMD department are within the approved budget;
- Manage inter-disciplinary coordination to implement quality management and design efficiency to meet the corporation's business objectives;
- Manage inter-disciplinary coordination in monitoring & controlling changes throughout the entire design process;
- Overall control of the appropriateness of design documents & agreed solutions with legal regulations, technical standards, compliance with procedures, design standardization regulations of the corporation;
- Organize supervision with design consultants to ensure construction quality meets design document requirements;
- Control coordination with construction management departments to promptly resolve design-related issues;
- Chair/participate in acceptance and quality assessment, project safety when requested.
3. Advise the Design System Organization Department (GMS.DMD) to update design standardization according to actual implementation.
- Advise, coordinate and provide proposed design documents to GMS.DMD to improve the architectural design standardization system (standards, libraries, solutions and materials used,...) to meet the objective of ensuring design consistency across the corporation
- Advise GMS.DMD on implementing digitalization of design data, building - updating standard operating procedures (SOP) system to optimize efficiency, improve control capability and transparency in design management process.
- Consult/submit to leadership in selecting design solutions, advanced technology and building materials appropriate to improve investment efficiency, project quality and optimize costs.
4. Be responsible for managing project document archiving according to regulations, managing contract implementation regarding variations, settlement and final accounts.
- Organize archiving of hard copy documents according to regulations
- Organize archiving of soft copy documents on Novagen/ACC according to regulations
- Organize inspection of periodic payment documents (document components, work volume…) correctly and completely according to actual implementation
- Organize inspection of final account documents correctly and completely (document components, work volume…) according to actual implementation
- Organize inspection of variation documents correctly and completely according to requirements (variation request forms, variation value, variation items…)
5. Build and maintain compliance with governance and system operation work
5.1 Chair the building of internal governance system for the department: working regulations, procedures, policies, forms - work checklists, …, propose adjustments to the authority matrix appropriate for operation in each period to ensure internal operation work, inter-department/division coordination in the corporation is continuous, accurate, fast and brings optimal efficiency.
5.2 Build and implement professional training plans for the department to improve professional capacity, develop talent team, succession.
5.3 Comply with internal regulations/policies/documents of the corporation. Manage data/information/professional documents and documents related to internal department operations.
5.4 Identify, assess, control and minimize risks arising in daily activities at the unit; report to the Risk Management, Process and Compliance Department the risks arising according to internal policies and regulations on Risk Management.
5.5 Govern and be responsible for issues related to tools, equipment and assets that the department uses, operates and manages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher, majoring in Architecture, Urban Planning
- Hold a professional certificate in architectural design and urban planning
- Over 10 years of experience in Design Management/Project Manager of design for Residential, Hotel, Villas, Entertainment Parks, urban area planning projects.
- Over 5 years of experience in equivalent positions
- Good leadership skills, motivate employees
- Judgment, analysis and synthesis skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills.
- Proficient in Auto Cad, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…), SketchUp/ Enscape/Lumion/Twinmotion, Photoshop, Illustrator, able to use MS Project.

- Skills in analysis and evaluation, research and application of new technology and materials in practice.
