Job description
Vinhomes is seeking a Director of Construction Management Board for various project types: energy (wind power, solar power), urban, industrial... nationwide (Ha Tinh, Dien Bien, Ho Chi Minh City, Tuyen Quang)
1. Design Control:
• Handle design discrepancies/errors/delays/variations compared to actual site conditions discovered by self-inspection or reported by subordinates.
• Approve shop drawings and construction drawings from contractors.
• Propose improvement and optimization initiatives
2. Schedule Control:
• Control factors that significantly impact overall project schedule, including: Legal, land acquisition, utilities, Contractors…
• Approve detailed schedules to ensure achievement of planned milestones;
• Handle obstacles or report to superiors any obstacles that may affect the schedule
3. Quality Control and Acceptance:
• Approve material lists submitted by contractors.
• Directly inspect samples for main work items and phase transition steps.
• Bear responsibility for acceptance quality of all items under the Construction Management Board. Including: directly inspect or strengthen supervision of critical items and items with risks affecting structure and occupational safety
4. Contract/Payment Control:
• Handle contract contents that are inappropriate as reported by subordinates;
• Sign approval of work items in payment documents; contractor penalties; monthly utility allocation and deductions for the entire Construction Management Board
5. Management Work:
• Organize and manage site planning by each phase ensuring security and orderliness according to regulations;
• Plan important work items/components/risks across the project and organize control.
• Conduct inspections of critical matters (minimum 30% of time) that could cause serious consequences, affecting quality/schedule/occupational safety/environment/community relations/site image. Handle violations.
• Conduct 100% site inspections: minimum once per month for Level 3 Construction Management Board Director, once every 2 months for Level 2 Construction Management Board Director, and once every 3 months for Level 1 Construction Management Board Director.
• Personnel management: Assign work, evaluate work quality of all Construction Management Board personnel according to regulations; early detection of personnel with issues through inspection and audit work.
• Manage and control budget/headcount of the Construction Management Board.
• Conduct training (professional, cultural)
• Organize logistics work and manage assets of the Construction Management Board
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction, Architecture; holding Grade I Safety Officer Certificate
• At least 10 years of experience in the professional field and 5 years in equivalent positions at reputable Construction/Investor/General Contractor companies with significant market scale
• Experience managing and directing large-scale projects
• Ability to develop strategy, organize systems and build regulations and procedures
• Ability to develop and implement action plans
• Proactive, decisive, resolute and dedicated to work and organization
• Ready to travel for work when required
