As a Senior Project Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the governance, financial management and successful delivery of a large and complex portfolio of work. Working closely with the Head of Domain Orchestration, PMO Manager, Delivery Leads, Finance Partners and other stakeholders across Vietnam and Australia, you will support financial management, forecasting, planning, reporting and project governance. Financial management is a key focus of this role. We are looking for someone with strong analytical and English communication skills who can work independently, take ownership, solve problems and confidently engage with senior stakeholders.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and analyse project financials, including budgets, actuals, forecasts, cost movements and reporting.
- Work with the PMO Manager, Head of Domain Orchestration, Delivery Leads and Finance Partners to understand financial positions, investigate variances and support forecast adjustments.
- Maintain financial workbooks and project data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Support funding submissions, including analysis and validation of financial information.
- Analyse financial and project data and clearly articulate key movements, risks, issues and required actions.
- Support program planning, milestone tracking, dependencies and project governance.
- Support relevant project and portfolio management tools and processes, including Clarity, Rally and PET where applicable.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders and teams across Vietnam and Australia.
- Take ownership of assigned activities, proactively resolve issues and escalate where support is required.
- Fulfill other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong hands-on financial management experience, including budgeting, actuals, forecasting, cost analysis, reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and reconcile complex financial data, maintain forecasting models and produce clear insights and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate variances, identify root causes and recommend appropriate actions.
- Experience supporting project or program funding submissions, with a good understanding of project financial management and financial treatments.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to present analysis and explain financial or delivery matters to senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to ask questions, constructively challenge assumptions and influence positive outcomes.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, take ownership and drive activities through to resolution.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
- Good understanding of project management principles, governance and Agile delivery.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and teams across Vietnam and Australia.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Experience with Clarity or similar project/portfolio management tools.
- Experience with Rally or similar Agile delivery tools.
- Previous project, program or PMO experience within banking or financial services.
- Experience or a strong interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, reporting and ways of working.
