What you will do
Call Functional Testing
- Test main call flows on iOS and Android: 1-1 and group voice/video calls (outgoing and incoming) and in-call controls;
- Test call behavior in different situations: app in background or killed, missed or declined calls, and interruptions from other calls;
- Check call history, notifications, and permissions.
Audio Devices & Integrations
- Test calls with external audio devices (speaker, wired and Bluetooth headsets), including switching devices during a call;
- Test calls on CarPlay and Android Auto.
Network Conditions
- Run basic call checks under different networks (Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, network switching, weak connections), focusing on call drops and reconnection;
QC Process
- Write and maintain test cases, run regression and release testing, and report test results in Jira;
- Reproduce issues, collect device logs, and log clear bugs in Mantis with steps and evidence;
- Work with developers and the QC lead to verify fixes and support release sign-off.
What you will need
- Solid QC fundamentals: test design techniques, bug lifecycle, writing test cases and bug reports;
- Hands-on mobile testing experience on iOS and Android: device/OS fragmentation, app lifecycle, permissions, push notifications, basic debug logs;
Nice to have
- Previous experience testing Call/VoIP products (SIP/WebRTC concepts, CallKit/ConnectionService, codecs, call KPIs);
- Network knowledge: TCP/UDP, NAT/firewall, latency/jitter/packet loss;
- Familiar with Charles/Proxyman, Wireshark, or Network Link Conditioner.
