Infrastructure Administration
- Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure systems.
- Manage Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management solutions.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
- Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Virtualization & Cloud Management
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
- Deploy and administer cloud services in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Support hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud infrastructure environments.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization, security, and operational costs.
Storage & Backup Management
- Administer SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage systems.
- Manage backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Conduct routine backup verification and recovery testing.
- Ensure business-critical data is protected and recoverable.
Infrastructure Monitoring & Performance
- Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics.
- Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Ensure infrastructure meets service level agreements (SLAs).
Security & Compliance
- Implement infrastructure security standards and best practices.
- Manage system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.
- Support security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate security risks.
Incident & Problem Management
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Participate in incident response and resolution activities.
- Develop preventive measures for recurring infrastructure problems.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support.
Documentation & Project Support
- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization and transformation projects.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.
- Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and application teams.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure administration, system engineering, or IT operations.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level server and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and data center operations.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and optimizing complex infrastructure systems.
