Job Description:
Lead and manage a team of Physical Design Application Engineers supporting Synopsys implementation solutions across strategic semiconductor customers.
Drive technical excellence, customer success, and business growth by ensuring high-quality support, successful deployments, and strong customer relationships.
Partner closely with customers, sales, product management, and R&D organizations to define technical strategies and address critical customer requirements.
Provide leadership for technical campaigns, customer escalations, methodology development, and adoption of next-generation Physical Design technologies.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members while building a strong pipeline of technical talent and future leaders.
Drive operational excellence through effective resource planning, prioritization, service quality management, and performance execution.
Contribute to long-term business strategies that expand customer engagement, strengthen competitive positioning, and accelerate technology adoption.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in ASIC Physical Design, Design Implementation, or Application Engineering.
- 2+ years of leadership, team management, or technical leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in Physical Design implementation methodologies including Floorplanning, Placement, CTS, Routing, Timing Closure, Signoff, and PPA optimization.
- Deep understanding of Synopsys Physical Design solutions, including Fusion Compiler, ICC2, PrimeTime, StarRC, IC Validator, and AI-driven technologies.
- Proven ability to lead customer engagements, manage escalations, and drive successful business outcomes.
- Experience supporting advanced technology nodes and complex SoC implementation projects.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
