We are building OV in public.
OV is a global network of Vietnamese professionals, run by our founder and a small team in Ho Chi Minh City. We want to film the journey: the work, the people, the wins, the bad weeks, the city. Documentary episodes, founder and team videos, member stories. You turn hours of that into something people watch to the end.
We want a hard worker with taste and the chops to back it up. Someone who is still here a few years from now, much better than today, because we grew together.
The job
Edit. A lot. Long episodes and short cuts, from first assembly to final export.
- Find the story in the footage, and cut everything that is not the story.
- Make every video look and sound like OV: clean picture, clean sound, no dead air.
- Move fast. A good video this week beats a perfect one next month.
- Tell us when an idea is weak, and pitch a better one.
You, probably
You have edited a lot, maybe mostly for yourself or for channels nobody has heard of yet. Your best work is ahead of you, and you know it.
- You have chops. DaVinci Resolve, colour, sound. You know the shortcuts by heart.
- You have taste. You can tell a good cut from a lazy one, including your own.
- You see the story first and the timeline second.
- You edit English dialogue well and hear the line that matters.
- You own your edits and bring ideas without waiting for notes.
- You think about who a video is for and why it exists.
- You use AI to go faster, and you know where it gets things wrong.
Probably not you if
- You want a fixed brief and no opinions.
- You judge a role by the day rate first.
- You are looking for the next client, not a team.
What you get
- Your fingerprints on how the world sees OV.
- A front-row seat while a company and a global community get built in Vietnam.
- Pay that grows as OV grows.
- A portfolio you will be proud of a few years from now.
How we hire
- Send two or three edits you are proud of. Paid or unpaid, it does not matter.
- A paid test edit on our footage.
- A paid trial on two longer videos.
- If it works for both of us, we keep going for the long run.
