Every OV city needs one person who makes things happen. In your city, that could be you.
City Leads host OV members where they live: one meetup a month, a city chat people use, and new members who feel at home from week one.
We want a member who shows up every month, also when the group is small.
The job
Host. Once a month, on a fixed day.
- Pick a day and keep it, for example the second Thursday, and host every month.
- Put each meetup in the OV app before it happens, ideally a quarter ahead.
- Share it in your city chat, remind people two days before, and post photos and a thank-you the day after.
- Welcome every new member in your city.
- Join the monthly call with City Leads from other cities.
You, probably
You are an OV member, and you are the friend who organises the dinner.
- You live in the city you would lead.
- You are a people person. Hosting comes naturally, and connecting two people who should meet makes your day.
- You are organised and reliable. You plan ahead, and you follow through every month.
- You make a newcomer feel like a regular.
- You care about Vietnamese people around the world, and you believe in what OV is working toward: making being Vietnamese an advantage.
Probably not you if
- You want the title more than the work.
- You can only host when it suits you.
